Born in Germany to Romanian refugees, Raul first picked up an old film camera in his teenage years to document his surroundings and experiences growing up. After dropping out of photography school, he started assisting some of the industry’s leading photographers, allowing him to further sharpen his approach and develop a distinctive style. His work stands out for its bold exploration of colours and shapes, often blending traditional and experimental image-making methods.
